GUY" LIVES 15 YEARS IN THE FUTURE
A Comedy Short about how the
more things change...
... the more they stay the same
... Fifteen years from now,
environmental and political scenarios of the 80's and 90's have played
themselves out. Ozone depletion has made going outside during the
day a health risk and has flip-flopped the American lifestyle...
Most people now sleep during the day and work at night!
The decisions made in
the latter half of the last century have turned the 21st century
upside-down. The graveyard shift is now nine-to-five - Everything
is opposite...
...but there are
still a few poor bastards that have jobs during daylight hours:
... One of them is Matt Ramsey - "DAY
GUY"
Matt's an average guy, with pretty much the same problems
as you and I:
- Parents - He
has seven: His egg donor, his surrogate mom, the couple that raised
him, his sperm dad and, of course, step parents. Matt is a genuine
product of 20th century reproductive technology.
- Love Life -
His girlfriend isn't too wild about dating in person - but hey
- who needs it in the computer age? And talk about safe-sex!
- Work - His
boss is the owner's son, oh yeah - and he's a dolphin!
His best friend Stewart flies a taxi; cousin Towne is purposely
in prison to get his MBA; and Jenny, Matt's surrogate mom, recently
had his test-tube bronzed!
He lives in the future, he dates his computer ...
...
ahhh - life is good! DAY GUY!
