John Putch began
his professional career as an actor at the age of five, in a
summer theater run by his Father. He is the son of Jean Stapleton
and the late Producer/Director William H. Putch.
He has had a respectable
television and film career and now enjoys directing. John's
film VALERIE FLAKE premiered at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival
and was also nominated for an INDEPENDENT SPIRIT AWARD in the
Best Female Lead catagory.

Now, Mark Hamill
wasn't in BachelorMan, but John has worked with him and just
about everybody else in this town. He'll write a book about
it someday he says, but 'till then you're just gonna have to
take my word for it.
After Valerie Flake, John directed PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, starring
indie favorite Frank Whaley, Annabeth Gish and Amy Jo Johnson.
Other film credits include BACHELORMAN and the documentary THIS
IS MY FATHER. He's directing Grounded For Life, for FOX
and another TV show we can't talk about... John attends BEER:30
with his friends when time permits...
