Missi Pyle

Missi grew up in Houston and Katy, Texas until age twelve. Then she moved to Tennessee, and attended Germantown High School, one of the top three performing arts high schools in the country. While there, she became heavily involved in the theatrical and music departments.

Missi then got accepted to North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem NC by audition in 1991. She graduated 4 years later with a degree in acting.

After graduation, she was picked up by the Paradigm Agency in New York, and did many productions and voice overs in New York City.

Later, she performed in the famed Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago with the likes of John Malkovitch.

Then she began her assault on Hollywood. She's most famous for her role as the sexy female alien "Jane Doe" in GALAXY QUEST. She's also appeared in EXPOSED, JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS, SNOW DAYS, and AS GOOD AS IT GETS.

Missy has also been on TV in shows like ALLY McBEAL, BATTERY PARK, FRIENDS and THE DREW CAREY SHOW.

As writers, we all had our own inspiration for the character of Heather. Mine was really named Heather, and she was a beautiful, 5'11" brunette with a dazzling smile. Missi Pyle is also 5'11" with dark hair and a dazzling smile.

When I used to hear the name of 'Heather' I would always get a little sad, because of mistakes, miscommunication and missed opportunities. But now when I hear the name of Heather I think of Missi, instead, and I smile.
